Labyrinth

The prominence of the cycle is not merely an artistic affectation or a characteristic of elaborate, writerly hypertext.

In the section titled Earth Orbit in his hypertext, Socrates in the Labyrinth: Hypertext, Argument, Philosophy (Eastgate Systems, 1994), David Kolb examines the prominence of self-supporting cycles as argumentative structures. This section of the hypertext is itself constructed as a cycle, with subordinate arguments spinning off as subsidiary cycles, linked to the center.
