This is the age when kids really try to make their artwork look real: computer games are driven by realistic graphics and high frame rates.
Kids love to test the limits of sensation, so they like loud music and saturated color palettes.
They're really interested in independence and separation, so their games are heroic adventures. And sex makes them uncomfortable, so it's absent or (as with Laura Croft) iconified for safety.
